Though 2012 saw unspeakable human-evils and a level of destruction only natural disaster can bring, renewal is near as midnight approaches. Even though it may feel impossible to imagine, 2013 will give humanity yet another opportunity to not just open previously closed doors--we can break those suckers right down. Put your shoulders to the test! Because for everything you gained or lost, it's time to give it ALL back at an even greater percentage than you received. If your 2012 had more difficulties than it should have, make 2013 the year you give more joy than any other year before. I guarantee that 12 months from tonight, your world will practically beam with positivity. As bad as it is right now, all it takes to turn it around is you.
Maybe you think I'm just making this stuff up--that there's no possible way someone could give back when they have nothing. Even when you've lost "everything," you still have yourself. And you're very valuable indeed. Priceless, even. You may not be told how important you are often enough. You may be in a one-sided relationship. You may have been abandoned or abused. But those things don't lessen you. In fact, your survival in spite of it all makes you more powerful than you can imagine. Use that power to propel yourself forward. And take as many people as you can along for the ride. The feeling of bringing good into the world, no matter how much "bad" you've faced, will overshadow any negatives in your life. And more importantly, in the lives of people you may not have even met yet. Now that's what makes a truly good year!
Make your New Year's resolution to bring more positives into this world for more people. Save things like the promises to diet or work out for another time. Because all of that falls into place when we feel happier. Happy equals healthy. And nothing will give you more joy than giving to others.
All my best wishes for a year full of positive and productive peace, good health and healthy wealth! Make your 2013 full of wonder...because wonderful awaits.
Happy New Year from your #PopCultureProfessor!!! See you next year....
