I know things are tough, America--the difficulty is in my backyard, too. But let's try to keep that great, swelling pride in our country, in ourselves, at the forefront. We are a great nation--the first to offer unprecedented opportunity and freedom, despite economic or social status. We're a country that comes together in times of need with things like the recent flooding in the south, or during the horrendous hurricane that left so many homeless and helpless. We even go beyond our own borders to help people in places like Haiti and Chile, who both suffered devastating natural disasters recently. We reach out to all kinds of people all over the globe with an outstretched arm and a helping hand...how many other countries can say the same???
Whatever your plans for this early part of July in celebration of the birth of our country, remember what being American truly means...it means freedom and opportunity, not just for people living in the States, but for people ALL OVER THE WORLD!!! America, we ROCK!
Have a wonderful July 4th weekend...celebrate America the beautiful because YOU help to make it that way each and every day.
Until next time, dearest readers....
