Waiting, wishing, hoping, praying, and dreaming is for suckers. Too harsh? If you're looking for someone to coddle you, you've come to the wrong blog. Stop waiting for the impossible. Stop wishing for fantasy. Stop hoping for the improbable. Stop praying to (and for) fairytales. Stop dreaming about life like it's a television show. I'm not telling you to give up--far from it. I'm merely suggesting you take responsibility for your own life. Just you. No one else.
If you want to do something extraordinary, like become an entertainer, comedian, comic book artist or writer, novelist, doctor, lawyer, poet, politician--go do it. Whatever that magical moment is that you've been waiting for, it's not coming. Your future is now. So move!!! Make it happen. Because no one else will.
You're thinking, "But wait, it can't be that simple?" Yes, yes it is. Start taking the steps you need to make it happen. Even if takes you years to accumulate the education, knowledge, experience, expertise, money, or whatever it is you need. If you don't start today, it's not happening. Ever. And that's horribly sad. Because one day, you'll wake up from the social coma technology seduced you into, distracting you with pretty pictures of prettier people. You'll wake up and wish you could go back to sleep because you'll be too old, too tired, too used up to do anything about those lost dreams.
Don't be afraid of being wide awake. People will put obstacles in your way when they realize you've made your own sea change. They'll resist the change because when you change, it implies they can, too. And for many, that's more frightening than death itself. Am I afraid? Yes. But I am putting one foot in front of the other anyway. I'm moving closer every minute of every day to the future that I do not hope, dream, wish, or pray to be true--I know it exists. Because I can see it. As clearly as I see that the sky is blue.
Can you see your future? Make a sea change and look closely. Because when you look, you'll always find what you need. No matter what.
