To resurrect yourself. To have been nothing, air, and manifest into matter all over again. It felt powerful, too--to have bided my time, been patient, smart--ultimately, smarter than my opponent. The moment I got a response, was the moment I reclaimed my power. But in order to make this power play, I had to first give it up.
We are often faced with similar situations in life. Every time you take a risk, you make yourself vulnerable. It's frightening. But the courageous fools of this world know that making yourself vulnerable can reap great rewards--the biggest of which is reclamation of power.
You see, it's nothing to have power. Anyone can find it or take it or receive it as a gift. But those people don't really own it. I, on the other hand, and people like me--we OWN our power. That's why we can give it up. Because it's not possible for anyone to take it. A lion's mane may be shorn, but it will grow back. You can beat me, pummel me, maim me, brand me, even kill me, but you cannot have my power. Because it's mine. I own it. You don't. That means that even when abandoned, abused, neglected, or otherwise mistreated, I'm never going to stop being me. #thatPower is something that comes from within. No one can mess with it, but boy, will some people try.
To those miserable sods, I say, good luck. You can try to erase people like me. The artifice of technology makes that feel all too easily real. But it's not possible. #Tupac, the famous poet and rapper, wrote once about a rose growing through a crack in cement. It's perfect imagery. You can cover nature with layers upon layers of concrete, but over time, nature, and its power, will endure. Longer than the sidewalk. Longer than the humans who invented it. Who mixed it. Poured it. And walked on it for years.
When you understand yourself as having #thatPower, you also understand that nothing and no one can ever, ever stop you, hurt you, or move against you. You are infinite, a continuous whole. True, road blocks can be set before you. But when you are powerful, you will succeed. You can outlast the road blocks, even if they are otherwise insurmountable. Your power cannot be negotiated. It is truly yours. And every time another human being tries to erase you, block you, make you disappear, turn you into a ghost--you'll come back to that individual in some way and witness the karmic moment. It may take time, but you are infinite...you can wait. In the meantime, move your life forward.
Moving forward sometimes means looking back, and that's okay. Because your power will get you where you need to go. All you have to do is decide what you want, how you want it, and when. If you own #thatPower, you will see your dreams become reality--one after another, after another. It doesn't mean you won't fall, or trip (or be tripped)--it just means that when gravity takes effect, you can get back up again.
You can walk again. You can run...even when you can't.
