The centuries, a blur of people and places
But home will always be home
Even if I've lived a half dozen lives in between
We all get to this point
The point where we can decide
To live another hundred years
Or, press reset...
I'm not ready to be reborn
To struggle through the decades of a new life
Knowing who I am
Yet unable to act
It's frustrating...
It's not in the big, obvious things where my success lies
It is in the unseen...
Those areas of life that are, shall we say, private
And, this lifetime has been full...very full
New Orleans always has the answers
Ireland held a piece of the puzzle, too
But Stonehenge started the journey
From whence my soul traveled to the bottom of the world
The Asian continent was once home as well
Then the Middle East
And, Northern Africa
Whose gods still talk to me
Spiders remind me of my time in Rome
And my long journey to the Britons
Where I lived once before
Before Rome was more than just a city
Despite all I am and all I know
Love is my greatest desire
It's the most valuable treasure Earth has to offer
Sadly, few recognise the opportunity as the miracle it is
May true love find you, cherish you and keep you
For, there is nothing better
And nothing worse
Just like my beloved New Orleans....
