Once upon a time, I stood on those very cliffs, looking out into the cold waters for a sign of sister-selkies. Fellow immortals who protect the waves. Today, I stand atop the mossy cliff-side, looking for the same thing. In Sanskrit, the term is "smriti"...it means "intuitive memory." By no small coincidence, the word "Druid" has the same root as the word "Vedic." In both Gaelic and Sanskrit, the word "vid" means "wisdom"; it is a similar variation for "knowledge" in Hebrew. Indeed, it seems the children of Noah who landed on Eire's green shores after the flood visited other lands as well. Generations later, these connected cultures joined together again in me. And, my line.
One day, my grand-daughter will stand on the same cliffs, looking at the same waters. Though evolution is a continuous process, there are some things that will never change.
#Ireland is one of those things...and, so am I.
Eire go deo!
