'twilight and Philosophy' hit book store shelves on September 22, 2009. Pick up your copy today! See the "Appearances" page for details on my lecture/signing tour.
My next book project is also with Wiley and co-editor, George Dunn, a contributor to both the 'twilight' and 'X-Men' volumes out this year as well as a forthcoming volume on Joss Whedon. George and I will be editing 'True Blood & Philosophy' on the popular HBO adaptation by Alan Ball (of 'American Beauty' and 'Six Feet Under' fame) based on author Charlaine Harris' 'Sookie Stackhouse Novels'. This book is slated for publication in May 2010. Please stay tuned to future blog entries for more details!
'X-Men & Philosophy' co-edited with J. Jeremy Wisnewski (who also edited volumes on 'Family Guy' and emmy-winning '30 Rock') came out in late March 2009. The book features essays on Wolverine, Magneto (by Richard Davis, editor of the volume on the hit TV series, '24' and a forthcoming volume on the 2010 film, 'Alice', by Tim Burton starring Johnny Depp), Professor X, the Dark Phoenix Saga (by Mark White, editor of the popular 'Watchmen', "Batman' and 'Iron Man' volumes in the Series), Deadpool, Mystique, Layla Miller (by George Dunn, editor of the volume on emmy-winning HBO series 'True Blood' and author of a forthcoming book on Joss Whedon) and a host of other X-characters from the Marvel Universe. The book is available at Amazon.com and all major book stores including Borders and Barnes and Noble (in-stores and online). 'X-Men & Philosophy' will be available for signing at all the appearances listed on this website. Please check the "Appearances" page for details.
Fall is in the air; the chill reminds us that it's time to get cozy and snuggle up with a good book. Whether you're reading something of mine or a book by another author--enjoy! I wish everyone a productive, and warm, fall season!
Best wishes,
Rebecca
