For you ambitious types, I'm afraid nothing will seem like it's happening fast enough--May will be full of flowers, and frustrations but things will still be moving in the right direction because all of your hard work will pay off this month. The fruits of those labors will provide you with sustenance for a good long time.
I have a number of students graduating this month--in about three weeks. I've known many of them for at least four years, some I've known for longer. But I will miss ALL of them equally. I can't feel too sad though because this is the moment they've all been working toward for years and years. It's an end for me, but for my students, it's just one of many beginnings. And I feel incredibly proud of all of my students. They're not just smart and capable, each is compassionate, sensitive and truly good people. No matter how their lives evolve in the future, that will continue to be a constant...and hopefully, so will I.
So though it's sad to see April leave, May will awaken anew at midnight--and suddenly, as if by magic, all of our lives will be full of warm breezes, bright colors, sunshine, and as one of 2009 graduates is fond of saying, blue skies! And if anyone knows blue skies, it's him--he jumps out of planes...for fun! ;)
Have a wonderful weekend! Life is happening all around you--look for the unexpected by making connections and it won't be just flowers blooming and growing this season.
Until next time, dear readers....
