The planet is a sad place right now. And no amount of pretty words can change that. Not even the supposed symmetry of a perfectly paired numerical pattern like 10-11-12 can create the illusion of calm amidst the growing chaos.
Humanity stands on a precipice. But that's nothing new. In fact, there has been no real change since this time last year. And that's part of the problem.
We are stagnant. Rotting. The stench isn't so new that it's undetectable. It hits the nose with a perfumed pungence, like the crushed bloom of a fallen rose.
The irony? We are stagnating because we are so terrified by our circumstance, we're willing to believe almost anything as a means to provide us with Hope. But Hope is a lie. It wreaks of Fear, it's inifinite twin, with Hatred holding tight to Fear's heel. Hope is for the lazy. The weak-willed. The followers. Knowledge attracts a very different demographic...one that is infinitesimally small in comparison.
According to the Assyrian calendar, the year isn't 2012 but 6762. The Buddhist's record the year as 2556. The Hebrew calendar? 5773. It's 5113 of the Kali Yuga, or age of the demon, according to Hindu beliefs. Leaders will become unreasonable and levy unfair taxes. Teachers will no longer be respected. People will take vows and break them soon after. Lust will be central to society. And humans will become a danger to the world.
Yup. That sounds about right. But don't worry. There's only 427,000 years left of the Kali Yuga. And there is that escape clause promising a 10,000-year "golden age" somewhere in between....
